Hi! I'm new to NetBSD, and I'm wondering how I can get ls to
color-code files according to type (like e.g. Linux's ls --color).
I imagine I'll have to compile a custom ls for this, though this
is getting a bit beyond my depth (termcap/terminfo is all voodoo
to me). Any pointers/suggestions would be appreciated. BTW, I
connect to my NetBSD account remotely, and its terminal *does*
support color (even though my TERM is plain ol' xterm); various
color-savvy applications (vi, Emacs, lynx, etc.) show color fine;
I even managed to get a colored prompt for my zsh. But the B&W
ls is a bummer.
TIA,
jill
