Hello,

I installed the src.tar.gz in /usr/src on OpenBSD 3.3. Now I wanted to
compile a new kernel and so on but I saw that to do that I need to be
root, I think compiling kernel should be fine to be done as non-root
user except for the installation part of course. I saw also that all
files belong to group "wsrc" but group wsrc has only read permissions.

I wanted to ask for suggestions on how to be able to compile and do
modifications in /usr/src without root permssions, should I simply add
write permissions to the group (wsrc) and put users in the wsrc
group ? Or do you think that's a bad idea and all this should really be
done only as root ?

Thanks for the comments

Regards
