Howdy,

I'm having troubles with a xircom realport ethernet 10/100 (model re-100)
pcmcia ethernet card.
It seems to work just fine until I try to give it an IP address (ifconfig
xe0 10.0.0.1). As soon as I execute this command, the link light goes out.
I've been looking online for an answer for a few weeks now and I've read the
manual. It says that Xircom/Intel realport cards are supported.

On bootup, I get some strange messages:
xe0 at pcmcia0 function 0 "Xircom, CreditCard 10/100, CE3-10/100" port
0xa000/16 : address 00:...
ukphy0 at xe0 phy 0: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface

ifmedia_match: multiple match for 0x10000023/0xfffffff
ifmedia_match: multiple match for 0x23/0xfffffff

Note that I have a Realport ethernet 10/100 (RE-100), and not a CE3, as is
reported. I'd really like to use OpenBSD on my laptop, but if I can't have
network access...I'll have to use FreeBSD or Linux of some sort. I had to
type the dmesg above by hand and I have to use Outlook Express for goodness
sake, so please have mercy on me and help me solve this problem!
