    Thanks Chet (et al). Can't imagine running linux/unix without bash.

    Have to say, though, that I am using 2.05a and have no real complaints
    about its performance.

    The vi editing mode needs the equivalent of "set showmode" (built into the
    prompt?) but it really helped my general effectiveness with linux/unix to
    learn the emacs editing mode keybindings, so no big deal.
