I think you have been brainwashed by Bill Gates.

Because M$ have a monopoly on the market, most experienced people who are
sick of
having stability issues or having to deal with viruses will head towards
linux/unix/bsd (or
in the case of a novice user, go out and buy an Apple Mac)

Also, MS have billions to spend on advertising. Opensource systems like
linux/bsd are
maintained and developed by volunteers. I find opensource operating systems
like bsd/linux to be a superior product to windows anyway.

Because the average end user probably doesnt have a basic knowledge of unix
commands.
And wouldnt know how to operate and maintain a unix/linux based machine.
OpenBSD
isnt designed for grandma and grandpa.

I believe its good for both desktop and server purposes. However its real
strength is in its ability as a server. I use openbsd on my gateway machine,
it does my NAT and firewalling for me. I wouldnt have it any other way!
FreeBSD is probably better as a desktop operating system.

Thats a bit generalised. Networks like yahoo already use bsd based
systems. Catch my drift?
