Your basic assumption here is that everyone has the same needs and
that every OS takes care of those needs. This couldn't be farther
from the truth.

Everyone has different needs, some radically different from others and
there are OS's that take care of those specific needs or at least angle to
meet them. So, to compare Windows to OBSD is rather moot unless you
specify what the needs of the user actually are.

I use OBSD as my desktop. For me, OBSD is so far beyond anything M$ it
isn't funny.

But then again, I actually care about security. And if you look at
bugtrak, the frequency for flaws in M$'s products is far beyond that of
any Linux/Unix/BSD (and that's an understatment to be sure).

But, if we're talking about a "general user," (s)he would do well to look
to Mac as a M$ replacement. Or if (s)he has some *nix experience, Linux
or FreeBSD might be better depending on needs.

I actually find it depressing that people like you still exist and go
around trying to pick fights and get peoples blood boiling. Seriously,
what benifit(s) is/are there for doing this?
