multi-boot success, still a question though

I've managed on my first try to get win98se, OBSD3.6 and Slack10 all
playing nicely together via LILO on 4 scsi disks in an older K6-2/500
box with a half-gig of ram. I think I was using an older howto that led
me to place the boot partition for 3.6 on the first disk, somewhere
slightly below the 1024 cylinder mark.
Q> Could I have stuck 3.6 completely on its own disk or is the OS still
limited by the 1024 cylinder limit?
