Trouble installing 3.7 onto Intel SATA 82801EB

I'm getting an error when booting off the cd37.iso CD.

The machine has an Intel SATA 82801EB controller in it, and the bootup
messages indicate this is properly detected. It appears it tries to
probe the drives and then I'm seeing:

wd0(pciide0:1:0): timeout
type: ata
c_bcount: 512
c_skip: 0
wd0(pciide0:1:0): timeout
type: ata
c_bcount: 512
c_skip: 0

And the machine stops responding. I've tried 3.6 as well and get the
same error message. The drives and controller seem to be fine under
other OS's. Does anyone know of a workaround for this or am I out of
luck with OpenBSD on this machine?
