Hello
There is my situation: I had a disk crash and after the repair I have
found out that some directories are missing.
syslogd is telling me that the following files/directories are missing
var/log/messages
var/log/messages
var/log/authlog
var/log/secure
var/log/deamon
var/log/xferlog
var/loglpd-errs
var/log/maillog
Questions:
Is there a way to find out the group owner, file owner and file
permissions for those files/directories?
Is there a way to find out if there are any other files/directories missing?
Is there a tree of my actual hard drive stored someplace? (i dont have a
backup)
If I slap OpenBSD 3.5 CD in the drive will it recreate the missing
files/directories without having to reinstall my accounts?
Is there an option that I am not aware that would solve my problem?
Thanks in advance
Leopold SA
