it's looking like the ramdisk filled up (but that's possibly from the
coredump). if you boot from cd and then select shell, you can manually
mount / and make /dev/console (or try typing MAKEDEV all to see if it
is happier). once you're up, run MAKEDEV all.
shouldn't be necessary, but it could help.
