Hello,*******************************************************************
I`ve compiled MySQL 5.0.22 from ports. I have found that I have to start
MySQL daemon by typing:
# /usr/local/bin/mysqld_safe &

# ksh: /usr/local/bin/mysqld_safe: not found
but MySQL server doesn`t work.

I guess you "just" compiled MySQL and forgot to install it!
go back in to the "port tree" to the MySQL place and type
"make install" as root, or "sudo make install" as normal user

but after reboot MySQL doesn`t work :/ What I have to do to start MySQL,
no at boot, but after system is started, by some command.

As Joachim said in the other post: MySQL needs to be installed!
