Why is SIGQUIT ignored by nohup?

Hi all,
does anybody know the historical reason why some implementations
of nohup(1) ignore the SIGQUIT signal (in addition to SIGHUP)?
No sensible reason comes to my mind to justify that behavior.
(it's the case of Solaris nohup, at least)
