I am full time steadily employed, making X dollars salary. I am not
getting wealthy this way.
I've been offered to join a contract team and make 2X. This may not
get me wealthy either but it's closer than 1X.
I'm aware of some pros vs. cons to both.
contract: no 401k, no medical benefits, may be lapses in work,
probably require travel around country, flexible hours, vacation
whenever you want, etc.
employment: steady, stable, 401k, medical benefits, pension,
non-flexible hours (ie 8-5 M-F), 3 weeks/yr vacation during non-crunch
time, etc.
I do not know if I am aware of all the pros vs. cons, and I want to
make an informed decision. What are other things to consider? I am
single with dogs, no debt besides mortgage, no wife.
