Thanks for the reply. I am accessing this groups from
google. So i dont find a link to faq of this groups. Second thing is,
you probably didnot read my question completely. I specifically asked
for a unix specific answer.

Unfortunately, a unix-specific answer is not nearly specific enough.

I want a car-specific answer: is the positive or negative terminal
of the battery nearer to the driver's seat? There probably isn't
even a Toyota Camry-specific answer.
