MACROS on traceroute

There are some macros in the traceroute, but I can't able to know what
is the use of that macro. Can any one give me a hint over the
following macros?

HAVE_USLEEP
__hpux
HAVE_SYS_SELECT_H
HAVE_ICMP_NEXTMTU
BYTESWAP_IP_HDR
HAVE_RAW_OPTIONS
