In (some?) recent distributions of Linux there is no /etc/termcap.
find /etc/terminfo /usr/share/terminfo -type f -exec basename {} \;
man 5 terminfo

Today I got a "patch", allegedly from Microsoft, with a Return-Path of
"admin@duma.gov.ru" (but duma.gov.ru apparently does not exist)
