What's Ken Thompson doing at google

Is it topical in this group?

Just notice that Ken has a email account at google.com listed on his
bell lab webpage http://www.cs.bell-labs.com/who/ken/index.html . But
there isn't even a single link about him and google from the result of
google searching.
