SCO is used as the main server for this application (database and
accounting). There is a few real terminals (3) and a few (6) DOS box
used as terminals. No GUI here, only plain terminal or terminal
emulation from DOS box. I need to replace the terminals and DOS box by
Linux boxes, because the software on the DOS box is old and not
available anymore. And the terminals are slowwww...
So the Linux box does a good job for speed, except for the character
problem. The keyboard, I fixed with laodkeys and stty -a.
If I make a "who" on the SCO server, it gives me:
tty01 (accounting session on the server)
tty02 (the session I used)
ttya01
ttya02
ttya07
ttyp0
ttyp1
ttyp2
ttyp3
ttyp4
ttyp5
ttyp6 (the Linux box)
All the machines have a fixed IP. Terminals are connected through a
serial hub (or multiplexer) similar to a BOCA box. All teh others are
connected to a standard hub.
Anything more needed?
