Increase revenue? Hah!
SCO's recent actions seem to me to be acts of desparation, and/or a bunch
of land sharks wanting to pick the carcass clean. They've tried this bit
with the TAs every couple of years since the original SCO IPO when the bean
counters took over the company, always meeting this same type of response,
and never generating any new revenue.
It's hard for me to believe that any conscientious ISV or reseller would
continue to sell SCO products given their past history, recent actions, and
prospect for the future.
I have been an SCO reseller, developer, and partner in one form or another
since 1987 or so, and will continue to support existing SCO systems, with
or without the TAs, but there's no way I would recommend anybody purchase
any new products from SCO.
