Kirk McCusick has a pretty good history of BSD and the suit
against BSDI and the counter suit by the Regents - filed almost
immeidately to keep the case in CA - and how it was settled.
That is the the O'Reilly book "Open Sources {voices from the Open
Source Revoltuion}.
There are parts of Raymond's comments that don't seem to jibe with
history as the way I remember it.
