"Large Filesystem Performance Supplement" will not hurt small
filesystems.

Who should install it: everyone who is running a suitable system, i.e.
OSR507.

I have seen it have a remarkable effect on a 10GB filesystem, and a
noticable effect on a 2GB filesystem.

I have seen it have no effect on a system with a 6GB and a 12GB
filesystem.

The supplement's main effect is on write speed. HTFS write performance
degrades as it gets farther into a filesystem; or at least it used to.
With the supplement this degradation becomes insignificant. HTFS write
performance also "falls off a cliff" when a filesystem is nearly full;
with the supplement, this effect is greatly reduced.

I will suggest this to the people that write TAs...
