In 1966 working for Bendix Radio in Towson Maryland using a Bendix G-20
mainframe. Somehow I got a job as a junior electrical engineer when I had
a B.A. in Physics and Math from Johns Hopkins. They gave me a problem to
solve, a deck of cards that would compile and generate printed output, a
copy of McGrackin's (sp?) FORTRAN manual, and said go for it. Since then I
did 12 years as a D.P. manager with mainframes, mostly Burroughs, a four
year stint racing formula cars full time, three years with Radio Shack
managing computer centers (where I first learned Xenix), about 14 months
with a software company that moved me to the Seattle area, then I founded
Celestial in 1984 and have been doing that ever since.
