I'm transplanting a SCO 5.0.5 system to a new server using the same
liscenses. Multiple issues here:
1. I need to ftp some stuff off my ftp site in passive mode (not active).
SCO's default ftp client doesn't support passive (pasv) mode? Is there an
update?
2. A fellow who set up the internet router said there was a lot of port 135
traffic comming from my new 5.0.5 machine. He thought I had a virus or a
worm. The is a fresh install of SCO + several patches. Could it be that
the license managers are duking it out? Can I get around this until I get
everything transfered over? I feel that this is causing ultra-slow ftp
transfers of data between the old and new box. And now all the people on
the old production box got booted off of their telnet session. Is this the
license manager's way of punishing me?
3. Assuming I get the first two items solved, I'd like to transfers entire
directories over to the new box. Is the a way to cpio is straight over to
the new server without tarball'ing, ftping, then untarballing?
Thanks,
