Well, I finally discovered a truly vanilla installation of WinXP right under
my nose, as it turns out, a dual boot of my home system that I use for
testing only. The sco.com popup menus worked perfectly on that system,
probably because I had never installed Flash on it before.

So, back to this Win98SE system, I attempted to remove all traces of
Flash & Shockwave (truly a royal pain), rebooted, installed Flash from
macromedia.com and lo and behold, the drop down menus at sco.com
now work as expected. Hard to believe I have this same problem on
so many other windows machines on our LAN. Well, maybe not.

SCO's website is not at fault after all, and as I stated in email to a
couple
of people from SCO who contacted me directly, I apologize for the tone
and nature of my original cusm posting. But, as I also wrote to them,
this wouldn't have been necessary if somebody had just gotten back to
me weeks ago when I first mentioned this problem to them thru feedback.
An unrelated issue about SCO's ftp site submitted at the same time was
answered promptly within a day or two.
