Hi,
I'm running SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 on a Dell PowerEdge 2300.
This morning, for a short period (maybe around 10mins?), anyone who logged
in did not have their $HOME/.profile run, it appears as if /etc/profile was
being run though.
Users were just being dumped at Bourne shell prompt (scary!).
I think I remember that this has happened once before, but it seemed to
correct itself.
The profiles are not symbolically linked, and are normal files owned by the
user and have rw permission.
What could possibly cause this? And how can I prevent if from occuring
again?
Thanks for any help,
Scott.
