Sendmail is not difficult to use. The OP was trying to make it act
like a user program and not a transport program.

And sendmail is what keeps the 'net mail running for the most part.

And the commercial version of sendmail for MS machines is far
cheaper and can handle far more users per machine than the MS IIS
thingy.

Difficult to use should not be a qualifier. If that we true we'd
all be flying in single engine Cessnas and not 400 passenger
airliners. :-)
