Those were massive quantities of mercury in the water and fish.

Methinks there's a rather large difference is exposure and injestion
levels between eating fish from the Shiranui Sea and tuna from the
ocean.

I was wondering why the price of liquid mercury had soared. It's all
the telescope builders and their rotating mirrors full of liquid
mercury:
