    One of the SuperTar programs will have all the utilites you need
    to be able to put in a new disk, stamp the proper OS parameters,
    make the correct file systems, and load and go.

    With those you can be loading from tape onto a brand new drive in
    under 5 minutes. Look at BackupEdge at microlite.com or
    LoneTar at cactus.com. I have sites on both.
