A customer of mine running Open Unix 8 for 2 years has run into a problem
where all passwords have expired and the system refuses to accept any new
passwords. I logged on as root and ran into the same problem. I now have a
message that the software is unlicensed and I need to go to single user
mode, and my root password is still not accepted. It's Saturday AM and 4
Goodyear tire stores are now shut down because of this. I am waiting for
someone to get to the data center and reboot to single user, but while
waiting am hopeful someone can tell me what might be going on!
