Please post the actual contents of mscsi. Include all non-comment lines.
Using mkdev tape, you'll probably have to delete the existing tape drive
and create a new tape drive entry. The only question is which bus number
to use.
What other devices are connected to this scsi adapter? Just the disk drive
alluded to below, or is it a RAID array? Is it on the same bus (cable) as
the
tape drive? Are there any other devices? Reboot the machine, go into the
scsi adapter's BIOS setup and tell us what is shows there (device, bus no.,
scsi id no., lun no. [if non-zero]) for all devices.
Once things are properly configured, a simple tape status command is
enough to see if things are working properly.
