Laurence,
I would go with HP proliant ML series, (ML350-370) are good choices, to
be sure about the application compatibility I would get the hardware
and SCO UNIX 5.0.7 media kit only (CD) and install it as a evaluation
copy, copy the apps/data from old to new system and test the basic
functionality and make sure apps launch, I normally install the machine
at the client site for few days and have one of the experience user
work on the machine and test the daily work and print reports, once
client give you OK then go ahead and get the additional license and
peripherals, i.e. tape drive.
