"usb_uhci" is the driver for UHCI USB controllers. UHCI is one of the
two controller interface standards for USB 1.1.
Did you test the drive with another OS on the same machine? So far,
your evidence simply shows that the machine you're using doesn't have
any USB 2.0 (EHCI) controllers.
What is this machine (brand & model of whole system and/or motherboard)?
Is it supposed to support USB 2.0? Check BIOS setup, make sure USB 2.0
is enabled.
