I replaced a DAT 12/24 with a DAT 20/40 on a 5.0.5 system. The 12/24 was
on an Adaptec controller, the 20/40 is on an LSI (slha).
I used to be able to do a "tape getcomp" command to find the compression
setting of the drive.
Now, when I do the same command I get:
tape: unable to do 'getcomp' command on '/dev/xct0' : Invalid argument
Is there something inherently different about 20/40 drives, is the LSI
driver cause a problem?
Thanks,
Fabio
