    start up program to make recoverEDGE media
    and then it asks what kind of Media/Image to create

    I then choose either floppy or DVD, either
    choice gets the same error message.

    Microlite has responded and has further said that
    mappings on this system are off somehow, and possibly
    from starting and the stopping mkdev hd at some point
    in the past, was there suggestion.

    I do know, that a year ago my 3rd hard drive died
    and I replaced it with a new bigger drive, so perhaps
    that has caused this to not work.
