It's been a while since I've popped in here, but having been on both
ends of the stick pivoting around Bela -initially a user/admin/IHV and
later an internal developer/peer- I'll testify that he's very good at
exactly what he cites above.

I'll proudly serve as a (brutally honest) reference for Bela if asked.
My block diagram of him pretty closely matches what he said. :-)

I'm sorry to lose him and now more sorry that I was unable to hook up
for procurement of a semi-nutritional foodlike substance during my
recent visit to his home area.
