Trying to add fat32 partiton to 5.0.6

Hello
Hope someone can point me the right direction.
I have an existing server with 5.0.6 (rs506a) installed on a dac960
controller (mdac). I have now set up the machine to dual boot with
linux. What I have now is:
dac960 1 logical drive OSR5 root
hda 40gig IDE (pri/master)
hda1 ext3 linux root
hda2 linux swap
hda3 fat32
hdc cdrom (sec/master)
I would like to be able to share a partition/filesystem between SCO
and linux so I can transfer files betwwen the 2 OSs . Perhaps fat32
is a poor choice. Any sugestions here?
My problem so far.
Switched IDE drive and cdrom around so I don't get the:
PANIC: wdsetparam: no device info for ctrl 0 rive 0
Is ctrl 0, drive 0 not an ATA disk ?
I now have dual booting working OK with grub.
(hd0) = dac960
(hd1) = ide
In linux all is OK
OSR5 fdisk -f /dev/rdsk/1s0 will show me the proper table but numbered
backwards which I think OSR5 does anyhow
Part Staus Type Start End Size
2 Inactive WIN9x(32P) 682125 1241849 559725
3 Inactive LinuxSwap 620160 682124 61965
4 Active LinuxNative 1 620159 620159
mount /dev/dsk/1sC /dos1 does:
mount: cannot stat /dev/dsk/1sC : no such device or address
mount /dev/dsk/1s2 /dos1 does:
mount: /dev/dsk/1s2 not a valid filesystem or not type DOS: Invalid
(error 22)
I have not had much to do with IDE and SCO. Is my mount or device
syntax wrong? Can OSR5 even use a fat32 partition?
TIA
Glenn
