Hi,
We've SCO Unix installed on our servers. I don't know much about the
servers, becuase I only can login and use my applications. Currently,
we are using windows clients with Smarterm
(www.svamsoftware.com/newsvam2/products/smarterm/default.asp) and RPM
(remote printing manager - http://www.brooksnet.com). Are there any
alternatives for these 2 applications on linux. If there are any
alternatives, kindly tell me. So, we can migrate our clients to linux.

Run infocmp on Linux and move the result to the SCO box and use
tic to compile it.
I have been working with DSL (Damn Small Linux) booting from CD on
diskless pc's to access RealWorld Accounting application on SCO UNIX
5.0.5. I want to run telnet from DSL to the SCO box (not X-windows),
log in and run the RealWorld accounting system. This is still under
development but I have had some success by creating a Linux.src
terminfo entry and a RWCONFIG.linux definition for Real World.
Everything works, function keys, page up, page down,
etc... EXCEPT the Linux delete and "back space." This is hard
coded into Linux and using telnet from the DSL box to the SCO box
I have not been able to transmit SCO compatible delete and back
space from the Linux system. I expect that you would have the
same problem with out a true terminal emulator.
I have downloaded and installed test version of Century software's
TERM for Linux but I did not like the results - I have not worked on
this project for several months and can't give you specifics on the
problem with TERM. Power Term has a program that runs in X-windows only
that you might like (not CLI so I rejected it for this client).
