Just thought I'd get this up here in case somebody else does it and
doesn't notice the problem right away.
System: OSR507 w/ MP3
I just ran the "Check for Update" feature using Microlite's BackupEDGE
(02.01.04), and there was a new update available (02.01.05). I
installed it, and during the install it asks you if you want to
schedule any full backups. I said no, but wanted to verify that my
previously scheduled jobs were still going to work, I ran "crontab
-e"(for root), and found that it was empty.

:(

Fortunately I have good backups and could restore root's crontab.

You do know the r key is right next to the e key right?
Which is why it's not uncommon to find "empty" and "crontab -e" in the same
sentence.

I only have a few boxes yet with backupedge but I did the same thing on all
of them (said no to schedule) and didn't lose any crontabs on those few at
least.
