Bob, your return email doesn't seem to work, so I'm
posting this in the newsgroup.
Your information on the Moxa card was most helpful. It
was not a card that I was familiar with. It appears that
it has everything that I'm looking for. However, I
downloaded the OS 6 driver and the associated
documentation. After uunpacking the tar files, I
looked at the install script. It only refers to OpenServer
5; it does not mention OS 6. Same thing with the
documentation.
I then called Moxa technical support and asked about
this apparent discrepancy. The guy that I spoke to
hardly knew what OpenServer was, let alone the
differences between OS 5 and OS 6. He was unable
to tell me how to install it.
He said that he would check with Taiwan (their
headquarters) and get back to me tomorrow. I
have my fingers crossed. So, you might want to
try installing the card that you have as you might
not have what you think you have. If you do, let
me know how you did it.
