How to Add New SCSI Disk

Hello,
I must add a new (additional) SCSI disk to
SCO System V Release 3.2 Version 4.2.
Although I have strong skills on most Unix,
I am totally lost on SCO. System logging,
or auditing, as it calls it, is not enabled.
I do not know how to enable it. I cannot guess
the major/minor numbers for mknod and there
is another program, mkdev, that is equally
confusing to me.
How does one go about adding another SCSI
disk to this SCO? As it is now, the additional
disk is attached correctly to the controller, but
I do not know how to go about mounting and
formatting it.
Thanks for any help!
Chris
