Hi.
Which SCO UNIX (I do not remember - Unixware or Openserver, I remember
only that is was SCO) may come in 1997 or earlier (1995, 1996), coming
on about 30 (3 packs) 3" floppy diskettes, non-standard formatting,
maybe 1.8M or 2M.
What version this may be?
None. SCO never shipped floppy media with unusual sectoring. Various
versions of SCO Xenix, SCO Unix, and early SCO Open Desktop were
available on floppies ranging through 160KB SSSD 5.25", 360KB DSDD
5.25", 720KB DSDD 3.5", and 1.44MB 3.5". They never even shipped on
2.88MB DSQD 3.5", even when it seemed like that was going to become
standard equipment.
I do not know what USL/Univel/Novell might have done with UnixWare
shipments before SCO bought the product. I suppose it's possible they
came on goofy floppies, though I doubt it.
What prompts the question?
Bela<.
