If there is a windowing system working, then your console or shelltool (or
whatever it's called should have scrolling bar(s). If it is simply a
console login, then I don't know. Scrolling is usually a window management
function, not a shell function. I guess you're looking for a mini-window
(like a window blind?) manager?
emacs? (don't hit me!)
