1. Thank you for your help thus far.
2. I had not acknowledged the help so far because I am very busy these
days (working 2 jobs, side projects, spending time with my soon to be
fiancée, helping my mother who was recently widowed, and lots of other
things).
I may only get to check newsgroups once every 2-3 weeks sometimes and
given
the work schedule I have, I haven't even had a chance to use the
information from that post yet so it wasn't like I took it and ran
without any consideration. I haven't had a chance to really even go
back to that problem yet. Just because you may check usenet every day,
doesn't mean everyone else does.
3. On the post regarding "recursive grep on text files", if you will
read
closely, I wasn't asking a question at all. I'll be the first to admit
that the script I had posted wasn't the greatest in the world but it
was useful in some cases which is why I put it there. I was sharing
with other people who might be able to use or modify it. I wasn't
asking a question. I wasn't looking for help. The fact that others
did make suggestions was good but not requested therefore no reply was
necessary.

What report would that be? Something from your newsclient?
