FWIW, this Linux Gazette article

should help you understand what a symbolic link is, and how you can
determine where it points to. I'm certain that if you examined the output
of
ls -l /etc/apache/other/+entropy-php.conf /usr/local/php5/entropy-php.conf
you'd see the difference between the two file entries, and from that, be
able to determine which file was the symbolic link, and which was the
original
