I would start with looking at this page:

Check that the disk:a alias is the disk you really mean to boot from. If it
is, then there might be more information given with boot -v. (I doubt this
helps much though.) You could boot cdrom -s, then try and mount the
filesystems you just installed on, and look at the installboot command. It
might also help to check that the prom revision is current.

If you could somehow capture the boot attempt and dump, and post it, someone
might have more info than this.
