I doubt that the ISP will be so pedantic about the precise wording used in
the complaint. Whether it's spam or not, it's still inappropriate and
might be against the AUP. For instance, a pyramid scheme ad would be
illegal whether it's sent in bulk or just to one group.

Since the ISP asked for the group's charter, it seems they were willing to
overlook this minor terminology glitch, and wanted proof that the message
was inappropriate for the group it was posted in.
