Bzzzt! Wrong. You complained about "obscure expressions",
which is how you are using it. It's hypocritical for you
to whine about such whilst you yerself do it all the time.
I'd refer to it as Aussie colloquialism, but in your case
and for this word I think "Assie colloquialism" is more
appropriate. ;-)
