tru64dog@yahoo.com (Doggy) writes in comp.unix.solaris:
|In my /export directory I have user directories but that partition is
|filling up. I added some space to the server and mounted it on /space
|directory. My objective is to move the contents of the export
|directory to the /space directory but I want my users to continue to
|deposit their files in /export directory but trick it into going to
|the /space/export directory. So in reality, when they cd into /export
|and insert files in it, its really going to /space/export where the
|extra space is. How should I do such a task? Can someone help me out,
|please?
Sounds way too complicated - why not just move everything currently in
/export to /space, then umount /space and remount it as /export ?
