Greeting,
I have a E4500 box with Solaris 2.6 on it. It runs Oracle Database with
expanded shared memory and semaphore configuration. The box ran fine
until yesterday, it lost all shared memory configuration. ipcs -a shows
no shared memory/semaphore. I took out oracle configuration from
/etc/system, reboot the box, it still come up with no shared memory.
prtdiag found no error on hardware. I found a minor problem with swap
configuration, it is less than requested (twice as large as shared
memory), but with the same configuration, OS allocates memory fine for
shared memory in another identical system.
No /etc/system configuration errors found in log files.
This is the output from ipcs:
#ipcs -a
IPC status from <running system> as of Wed Aug 27 15:17:40 2003
Message Queue facility not in system.
Shared Memory facility not in system.
Semaphore facility not in system.
Greatly appreciate any help I can get.
