The Maintenance Update is the set of patches to the existing packages
which comprise the newest release of a Solaris version.
Obviously it does not contain any new packages added in the newest
release of a Solaris version.
The Recommended tarball contains the latest public recommended patches.
A patch becomes public recommended when it contains fixes to security
or widely encountered functional bugs.
